Dave Grohl, drummer of Nirvana, now leads Foo Fighters. Their new album is up for a Grammy nomination.

Fall is here! Break couldn’t come soon enough. If you’re looking to get into some new music or make a last-ditch effort to save your Wrapped, I’ve got some recommendations. Here are some of the musical moments I am thankful for this Thanksgiving:

  • Ice Spice and Pink Pantherss on “Boy’s a liar pt. 2”

  • I Play My Bass Loud by Gina Birch
  • the record by boygenius
  • Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd by Lana Del Rey
  • The Gag Order by Kesha

Comebacks:

  • Memento Mori by Depeche Mode. Rest in Peace, Andy Fletcher.

News and Announcements:

  • Ladies dominated the Grammy Nominations. Only one man, Jon Batiste, was present in both the Best Record and Best Album Categories.
  • After struggling with numbness and loss of mobility, Sufjan Stevens is out of the hospital and learning to walk again. Listen to his new album, Javelin.
  • Passenger has announced a collaboration with Elton John, Ed Sheeran and others to commemorate the 10th anniversary of their smash-hit, “Let Her Go.”
  • A Broadway adaptation of Netflix drama “The Queen’s Gambit” with a soundtrack primarily created by Mitski will be hitting the stage in the spring of 2024.
