Following an invocation and benediction delivered by seniors Fred Lang and Matthew Kreutter, sophomores Winnie Brandfield-Harvey and Hannah Curtis performed Bon Iver’s “Skinny Love.” Physics teacher Susan Bigge introduced speakers Becky and Anthony Leakey, who recounted their experience adopting two children through the foster-to-adopt process.

“Love isn’t always easy,” Becky Leakey said. “Sometimes you have to fight when the fight seems hopeless. You have to be strong when your strength is fading, and you have to leap barriers despite the risk.”
