The boys’ basketball team, which will enter SPC as the No. 4 seed, has been preparing for SPC by watching film, reading scouting reports and practicing with spirit. “Even though we had 11 returning players, all were in different roles than they had last year,” coach Harold Baber said. “The first part of the season was spent trying to figure out those roles. Our team has come a long way since the beginning of the season. They have a great feel for each other on the court now.” In SPC, the Mavs plan to use man-to-man defense and run set plays. According to captain Sachin Jaggi, the team can beat any team as long as they execute this game plan and play to their capability.“We have all the talent we need,” captain Cliff Guidry said, “but now it’s a matter of getting the job done.” Captains: Cliff Guidry (19), Sachin Jaggi (19)
