Track One: Lavender Haze

5/10

“Lavender Haze” is an underwhelming way to start off the highly awaited album. It is peppy and upbeat, but the lyrics do not portray Swift’s songwriting skills. The tune, however, is immaculate, and the rhythm is well done. “Lavender Haze” reminded us of Lover, for the song embodies the album’s cheerful tone.

Overall, though, the song is the best way to introduce the album since most of the songs that follow do not share the upbeat rhythm.
